Houdini Hound
We left for work and school one day and left our Mastiff/Pit puppy teenager in a kennel in my daughter’s immaculate Princess room (the dog is being housetrained).
When we came home, the dog had chewed a hole in the side of the plastic kennel, escaped and gone on a rip through my daughter’s room. The foam pieces in the foreground are carpet padding - but we found no holes in the...

Nom Nom Sandals
After a period of financial hardship, I decided to indulge and buy myself a new pair of sandals. They were impractical and beautiful and I was so excited to have them. My siamese cat, Tiberius, apparently shared my enthusiasm. As soon as I left him alone with the sandals, he chewed up the decorative metal bar, rendering them nearly unwearable. Sometimes you just have to laugh to keep from...

Lainey wasn’t too happy about wearing the lampshade after she got fixed, and that couch paid the ultimate price.

Everyone's a Critic
This is Murphy the ferret. He is three years old. After he
destroyed all of his Xmas toys (6-7 different things), he promptly
started in on MY gifts (which were INSIDE a half-zipped suitcase). I
had not even opened the DVD case yet!
He is not normally very destructive; this just goes to show that it
never pays to leave anything within reach of your pet, even a “well
behaved”...

Ozzy turning my box spring into his man cave
In the middle of the night I’ve heard weird things under my bed, this time I got under there and my black pug hand pulled down the fabric covering my box springs and turned it into a mancave complete with panties he had stole from me and his bone. The best part was watching his chubby pug self do the army crawl to get out.

Garbage Massacre
Came home to a garbage hurricane. By the look on his face he knew that he couldn’t blame it on anyone else. Maybe he thought I wasn’t coming home and he panicked? Regardless you can’t help but love that face.

Dirty Dog
Dirt and mud are unnaturally attracted to my white, golden-doodle Tobey. He can’t help it! It is obviously “never his fault” — just look at that face! Personally, I just love the expression of my older golden retrieve, Koda, (inside the house), looking at the two dirty culprits. He is a ‘good boy’ and would NEVER be involved in such shenanigans!

Blue's Clues
I was sitting on my bed watching tv and our Shorkie Duke jumped up to join me. I noticed his face was blue and couldn’t figure out what happened. Until I walked into the kitchen…..he had been chewing on a blue gel ink pen. There were little blue paw prints all over the floor! Our boxer Daisy was crouched in the corner looking at me like “I was NOT involved.”. ...

My Evil Angel :P
Mika my Cat Tried to kill us in our sleep by turning on the oven while we had food on the stove… For our luck i fell asleep on the couch next to the kitchen and woke up from the smoke …
Later that day I came back from work to find the toilet paper in ruins.
I think I stopped a new plan she had in the works… :P
Anyway i Miss you Mika R.I.P.

My Ability to Sleep in My Own Bed
I travel a lot for work. In the fall, I was away for about a month, and when I came back, my husband had decided that our two mini wirehaired Dachshunds, Sammy and Lila, no longer had to sleep in their kennel. They were now sleeping on the bed … on MY side of the bed. It was a week before we worked out the arrangements and I was able to get a good night’s sleep.
Now I’m away...

Cat making Brownies
Despite her small size I could prove this was the one who pushed the brownie pan off the counter. I’m sure she hadn’t planned on sticking around and getting caught, but she couldn’t get down off the counter until I cleaned up all of the broken glass on the floor under her. (She was fine, not a scratch on her).

My 3-month old kitten pulled this earring straight out of my ear and ate it. He threw it up just before having emergency surgery. I didn’t really want it anymore.

An Avid Reader
Ziggy has good taste in books. When we came home, his tongue was grey with ink. I wonder where he gets the urge to destroy from…? Oh yeah, his brother! Once, his brother Baxter ate a highlighter and destroyed a roll of toilet paper.

Second time's a charm
Our dog Morrison was relatively well behaved until 12 years old. One day I came home to this. The wall between the laundry room and the garage was torn out and strewn across the house. We promptly cleaned it up and fixed the wall. Less than a week later he tore it out again.

Midnight Steamy Suprise
Who can top this one? I made his lazy behind get out of my bed and he got mad and left me a steamy surprise. His aim was perfect and no one can convince me this was not done on purpose. I’m here to tell you dogs can be extremely sensitive and can and will take revenge. I guess he got the last laugh after all. Grrrr…….
PS. I’m plotting a little bit of my own...

You mean it's not a bandana?
My daughter was at our house doing her laundry. I walked in the kitchen and saw her darling Daisy Mae with a bandana around her neck. I thought, “that’s weird, Sabrina won’t ever let me put a bandana or anything on Daisy”. I looked closer & discovered it was my daughter’s thong! Apparently Daisy was trying to help her with the laundry! Couldn’t resist...

What? I thought it was dog door!
The cat door was destroyed by a rescue bulldog …. Yaya thought that meant she had an ongoing open hole for entry and exit. My husband put in the new door, leaving a few screws loose for fitment purposes… Yaya decided that this catdoor was just NOT going to deter her ingress/egress. She’s gotta contract, dammit!

My laptop on Thaksgiving
We call these types of events “purranormal” activity. I was downstairs getting ready for us to leave for Thanksgiving when I heard a massive crash… only to find my laptop covered in water, rocks, bamboo and a partially broken glass vase.

He's so dang PROUD of himself!!!
Seamus is about 5 months old and we really don’t know what breed he is, but at 43 pounds we know it’s BIG. This is one of the OLD patio furniture cushions that we decided to put down as outdoor doggie beds when we replaced them. Clearly this was not a good move. Fortunately the actual patio furniture is covered when not in use, as demonstrated by Seamus and Darby in the third...

Christmas Candle Chaos
This Victorian table came from my grandmother’s house and has sat in our foyer for nearly 20 years. It had survived a flood and a fire in the past, but these forces of nature were no match for one 17-pound orange and white cat. We keep our keys in the bowl next to the door, and this big guy would often run and jump on the table if he saw us getting ready to leave the house. This time he...

Oh no Hugo!
Hugo and Lola are our adorable but very naughty chocolate labs. Over the last 3 years they have eaten their way through 3 leather sofas, one marble coffee table (smashed after they jumped on it), countless shoes, books and remote controls. These pics were taken after we mistakenly believed the dark days of devastation were behind us, and briefly popped out leaving the compost bags in the...

Death to Santa
My dog has this weird fascination with hard plastic. She will chew just about anything that has hard plastic in it. Whenever we leave her alone we are never quite sure what she will find next. She chews so much that we’ve had to take bones away from her because she makes her gums bleed.
She also has a habit of wanting to chew things like Vick Sticks (my husbands sinus nasal spray.) ...

My Knee
These two tiny chihuahuas sleep in crates at night. I normally let them out every morning and they go straight to the back door. One morning, however, they decided to turn around and come back to their crates. One of them stepped on my foot, causing me to raise my leg and inadvertently slam my knee into a wooden sewing cabinet. Ouch.
