• Dirty Dog

Dirt and mud are unnaturally attracted to my white, golden-doodle Tobey. He can’t help it! It is obviously “never his fault” — just look at that face! Personally, I just love the expression of my older golden retrieve, Koda, (inside the house), looking at the two dirty culprits. He is a ‘good boy’ and would NEVER be involved in such shenanigans!
Such is life on a cranberry bog…

I was sitting on my bed watching tv and our Shorkie Duke jumped up to join me. I noticed his face was blue and couldn’t figure out what happened. Until I walked into the kitchen…..he had been chewing on a blue gel ink pen. There were little blue paw prints all over the floor! Our boxer Daisy was crouched in the corner looking at me like “I was NOT involved.”. Luckily, it came right up and he’s too cute to give away.

Later that day I came back from work to find the toilet paper in ruins.

Here are the Easter eggs that I made, complete with glitter! My husband and I went to see the Hunger Games, and I left the eggs in the center of the table. Here they are four hours later….

The package said “extreme” and “toughest durable formula”. Clearly, Lainey has a much different definition of “durable”.

  • My Ability to Sleep in My Own Bed

    Photo_031312_001

I travel a lot for work. In the fall, I was away for about a month, and when I came back, my husband had decided that our two mini wirehaired Dachshunds, Sammy and Lila, no longer had to sleep in their kennel. They were now sleeping on the bed … on MY side of the bed. It was a week before we worked out the arrangements and I was able to get a good night’s sleep.

Now I’m away for several months, and Lila has taken to sleeping BETWEEN MY PILLOWS. There’s going to be a big fight when Mommy gets home.

PS A king-sized bed is not large enough for two adult humans and two Dachshunds, as it turns out.

  • Cat making Brownies

    MitzyTriple

Despite her small size I could prove this was the one who pushed the brownie pan off the counter. I’m sure she hadn’t planned on sticking around and getting caught, but she couldn’t get down off the counter until I cleaned up all of the broken glass on the floor under her. (She was fine, not a scratch on her).
